Why the blog?
We’ve started a blog as an opportunity for you to share, learn, and build connections with each other in response to sermons featured in the Sunday services. We invite you to share your comments, questions and reactions to what you are experiencing at Tenth.
While all points of view are welcome on Tenth’s blogs, please be respectful and refrain from using profanity and derogatory language. The views expressed in the comments of this blog do not necessarily reflect the vision and values of Tenth Church. They reflect the personal opinions of the authors.

One of things that helped me most in my growth as a follower of Christ is prayer.
Although prayer has been one of the most important part of my daily life in the last few years and I begin my day by spending an hour or more with God, it wasn’t like that for many years after I first became a Christian.
I used to get so distracted and something always held me back when I wanted to pray.
Prayer was never easy at first.
One of the things that made a difference in my prayer life was when I learned that it was OK to be completely HONEST with God.
(That I can complain to Him and tell Him that I am angry at someone, etc.)
Then prayer became easier and easier and I became more intimate with Him.
When I made an intentional investment in friendship with God, I got to know Him better and He started changing my heart.
After all, prayer wasn’t all that difficult.
Above comments were posted here by mistake; but I do have something to share here as well.
This blog is such a great idea!
Through this blog, I have experienced and enjoyed the gift of community.
Ken’s series on the ‘Rule of Life’ has been tremendously helpful for me (Thanks to you, Ken!); but with his sermons alone, it would be easy to focus only on my own efforts to become great in all the areas of the rule of life.
Which could be discouraging at times with all the weaknesses I have.
Hearing and becoming aware of the great stories as well as the struggles of others have helped me realize that life is not about being perfect, but growing together in community with God at the centre of our lives.
May we continue to grow together and build one another up in love. (Eph 4:16)
So Glad you have found Community through this Blog!
Tenth is a good community. Thank you to the pastors, leaders and members. Thank God.
